Messe München International (MMI) has named Manmeet Sabarwal as Managing
Director of its newly found subsidiary in India, MMI India. With him, the
company has been able to sign one of the leading trade fair and media experts in
India.
electronicIndia, the No. 1 fair for the electronics industry in
India, for which Messe München will be solely responsible as organizer in the
future, is the first trade fair that MMI India will hold. It will take place
from 2 to 5 September 2008 at BIEC Bangalore International Exhibition Centre,
Bangalore, India.
Klaus Dittrich, Managing Director of MMI and
responsible for technology trade fairs, explaines: "electronicIndia is going to
expand its leading position further for the electronics industry in India. MMI
has been successful on the Indian market since 2000, and we succeeded into
shaping the predecessor event into a trade fair with real national and
international significance. We now have an optimum strategic starting point with
the founding of MMI India. Another advantage for us is the location of Bangalore
with its new trade fair center in the heart of the Indian IT and electronics
industry."
Manmeet Sabarwal, Managing Director of MMI India, underlines: "It is an
honour to work for Messe München, the world’s No.1 organizer
of electronics trade fairs. We will always strive to provide the
highest professional services to all exhibitors, visitors, all stake
holders and our growing family of participants at electronicIndia since
the last one decade."
Together with MMI, Mr. Sabarwal succeeded in making the
Componex-/electronicIndia into one of the leading events for the electronics
industry in India within only a few years. In February 2007, more than 830
exhibitors took part in the trade fair, while there were fewer than 250
exhibitors at the start of their joint activities in 2000. Mr. Sabarwal has also
recorded excellent successes as Executive Director and Managing Editor; the
magazine "Electronics Today“ has achieved a ten-times larger circulation under
his management within four years. And he was responsible for the success of one
of the leading fairs in India, the SmartCards Expo / RFID India Expo in New
Delhi.
