Compact kiosk printer for space sensitive installations
Thermal printer manufacturer GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH
is introducing its printer module GPT-6773. A special feature of this
200mm/s fast kiosk printer for 82.5mm paper width and up to 300mm roll
diameter is the fact that its controller GCT-6794, which was developed
by GeBE, is installed between cutter and printer mechanism. Therefore,
the whole module requires especially little space for installation. One
obvious place for this compact printer is the inside of the door to a
control cabinet. The advantage is that the printer is easily accessible
just by opening the door. On request, the paper roll can be stored in a
plastic compartment or on a paper toll axle. The compact GeBE low cost
printer is either controlled through an RS232 or a USB-interface and is
available for a very affordable price.

Alternatives for Individual RequirementsThe latest GeBE kiosk printer GPT-6773 is available with differently
positioned fixtures for the paper roll, depending on the requirements
of the client. The version that has a plastic paper compartment
underneath the printer is highly space-saving due to this vertical
position. If the application provides more horizontal than vertical
space, configurations with the paper roll on a roll holder mounted
behind the printer are a better solution. These are two examples of
solutions to make good use of the inside of a control cabinet, for
example. The printout is produced at a speed of up to 200 mm/s and can
then be cut and issued through an output slot or a discharge chute.
Modular Construction for High FlexibilityGeBE sells the fast printer GPT-6773 in the low-cost standard version
without a paper guide. This version has the OEM position the paper roll
independently according to his application. The printer mechanism used
in this printer allows the use of paper rolls with a diameter of up to
300mm. A special paper fixture for these large paper rolls is available
from GeBE. The paper is pulled from the large roll by the strong motor
through a spring mounted paper buffer into the printer mechanism.
Accessibility of all relevant parts of the mechanics was a high
priority during the development. The printer is mounted with a fixture
that allows a fast and easy removal for servicing. A service-supporting
near-paper-end sensor is also available from GeBE to upgrade this
flexible low-cost printer. All versions of printer series GPT-6773 are
available directly from the manufacturer in Germering for the
established interfaces RS232 or USB. GeBE offers this efficient kiosk
printer for a very attractive price.
