- electronicAsia 2007 expects 540 exhibitors from 16 countries in Hong Kong from 13 to 16 October
- Attractive site, positive business atmosphere and
business-oriented trade fair environment provide access to the growth
markets of Southeast Asia
electronicAsia 2007 is attracting international purchasers for its
exhibitors at one of the most significant trading centers for Southeast
Asia, Hong Kong, from 13 to 16 October 2007. The leading regional trade
fair for electronic components and parts, services for the electronics
industry and display technologies will again be the meeting place for
more than 540 companies from 16 countries and regions in the centrally
located Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. With this fair,
electronicAsia 2007 is providing an ideal opportunity for the trade
public from the region and overseas to get to know innovative products
and their suppliers, meet potential partners personally, and share
industry and technology know-how on a high level.
Attractive Site of Hong Kong
The
site of electronicAsia is first-class for its exhibitors and visitors.
Hong Kong provides the perfect trading platform for electronics with
its location and its economic policy framework conditions. More
electronics are bought and sold in the special administrative district,
which still profits from its largely duty-free status, than at any
other place in Asia.
As a result, the organizers of
electronicAsia 2007, Messe München International and the Hong Kong
Trade Development Council expect a continually high number of visitors.
Last year, more than 33,000 trade visitor – approximately 56
percent of them from outside of Hong Kong – used electronicAsia
as the largest trade and purchaser fair in Asia for electronic
components.
The mood on the electronics market in Southeast
Asia is excellent. The participants already expressed optimism in a
survey about the trade fair at electronicAsia 2006 about the future of
the regional industry. More than 60 percent of the exhibitors and
visitors expected continued growth of the electronics markets,
especially in Southeast Asia. Current figures confirm these subjective
assessments; in 2006, total exports of Hong Kong for electronic
components and parts achieved a value 107.6 billion US dollars, 15.9
percent more than in the previous year.
electronicAsia is
opening the way to the growth market in Southeast Asia to its
exhibitors and covering a large range of electronic components, display
technologies and services, for which numerous business deals will be
concluded.
Countries and Special Topics Are Exhibiting in an Exclusive Ambience
As
every year, numerous exhibitors are taking advantage of the chance to
participate in the country pavilions with their many visitors. Germany,
Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China will have such joint
country exhibitions at electronicAsia 2007. Another joint exhibition
will be in the "Hong Kong Metal Parts and Components Pavilion", which
celebrated its premier last year. Member companies of the "Hong Kong
Metals Manufacturers Association" are concentrated in this area, which
have metal components as well as switches, capacitors, potentiometers,
coils and transformers in their exhibition portfolios, among other
things.
A highlight within electronicAsia is the "World of
Display Technology" (WODT). In this exhibition area, everything is
focused on new display technologies, research and development for the
next equipment generation as well as production technologies for this
strong-growth sector. Exhibitors include companies such as Truly
Semiconductors Ltd., COTCO International Ltd., Kindwin Technology
(H.K.) Ltd. and Sunscreen Co. Ltd.
Outstanding products and
companies are exhibiting in a "Hall of Fame" at electronicAsia 2007.
Approximately 30 exhibitors are represented there with their brand
products, including Philips Electronics Hong Kong Ltd (Philips Light
Factory Hong Kong), Surface Mount Technology (Holdings) Limited and
S.i.sv.el. (Hong Kong) Limited.
electronicAsia is again taking
place parallel to the "Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition)" in
2007, the largest trade fair in Asia for consumer electronics and the
second largest in the world. electronicAsia exhibitors profit
especially from the synergies of these parallel events in the Hong Kong
Convention and Exhibition Centre.
