The Indian automotive sector is one of the largest growth markets
of the next decade. More and more Indians, especially in large urban
centers, are profiting from the booming Indian economy and investing in
motor vehicles. As a result, traditional Indian automobile and
motorcycle manufacturers, their international counterparts and globally
active suppliers are expecting sales to continue increasing.
Where is this market headed technologically? Automobiles of all
sizes are equipped with more and more electronic systems to deal with
the universal need to preserve the environment and reduce fuel consumption. And car owners are always interested in new technologies for enhanced comfort, security, information or communication. This symposium will give insight into automotive electronics from an Indian perspective including the technical and socio-economic trends that are intrinsically linked to the world of modern mobility.
